Priory Medical Centre, York
A completed refurbishment project with extension. Work started on site in October 2009 and completed in March 2010.
QAD were commissioned by one of the UK’s largest GP Practices, Priory Medical Group to carry out full design services to improve 2no. Medical Centres in York.
At Priory medical centre on Cornlands Road additional GP training facilities and rationalisation of the existing building layout was required. The Practice aspires to develop a centre of training excellence based at the Priory Medical Centre. There are currently 4 accredited GP Trainers. There is current capacity for 6 GP Trainees each year. With suitable expansion to premises PMG proposes to increase its maximum current training provision from 6 GP Trainees to 10 GP Trainees each year.
Affiliated with this project are improvements to the Lavender Grove medical Centre also part of the Priory Medical Group. Internal alterations are currently underway to improve 2no. consulting / exam spaces and provide a new disabled WC.
