QAD were commissioned to assist Badby, a primary school in Daventry, bid for a share of Condition Improvement Funds that had been allocated for academic year 2017/18.
To ascertain relatively secure costs the service initially was to run from RIBA Stage 0-3. The scheme looks to enhance the original Victorian portion of the school and fuse this with the more recent school extensions.
The design of the three new classrooms will replace dilapidated 1990s mobile facilities with modern airy teaching spaces fully meeting the requirements of Department for Education guidelines. This will also provide environmentally superior product vastly reducing the schools’ spend on heating and providing an environment conducive to learning.
The raised play area allows for separate ‘early years’ elevated play space.
