The container restaurant evolved in response to a brief requiring a temporary facility that would operate for 3 years before the site was developed for housing. The use of containers as the primary structure allows the restaurant to be disassembled and relocated to a new site. The structural properties of the containers allow a dynamic cantilevering creating areas of intimate space and open dining. The plan is articulated in a geometric pattern to create waiting, bar and restaurant areas.
